Will the GIF animate in presentation mode?+
Yes — PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides all loop GIFs automatically while presenting. (In edit view, PowerPoint may show just the first frame.)
GIF or a video file for slides?+
GIF for short UI/logo/icon loops — it autoplays, loops, and needs no codec. MP4 for long-form content with sound; this tool exports both.
What size should a deck GIF be?+
Export at 2× your placement size for sharpness. If the file gets heavy, drop the frame rate to ~15 fps before dropping resolution — decks care more about crispness than smoothness.
Does transparency work in slides?+
Yes — transparent GIFs composite onto the slide background in all three apps. Note GIF alpha is 1-bit, so avoid soft shadows against strongly colored slides.
